The Wildlife Tree Sculpture has been around since 1978 invented by Tree Branch Artist Vincent Smythe. Vincent is originally from the Bronx New York City was inspired by both mother and father who were also artist. As a child Vincent was very fond of nature and often painted nature scenes on canvas and created objects out of wood. Vincent did not want to be known as another canvas artist so he wanted to create an art form that was crafty, fun, educational and therapeutic that people from all walks of life men, women and children would benefit from the exposure, experience of creativity from nature.

So he chose to work with tree branches and began to create art deco pieces that people could enjoy from recycled fallen or cut tree branches.

Vincent being an outside artist which means self taught began to explore other areas on how to offer his tree sculptures. In the mid 2000’s that’s when the light bulb went off and Vincent collaborated with some educators that became very interested in his work and mini workshops. They shared ideas and helped him understand how his tree branch concepts would play a viable roll in the educational community in visual arts and life sciences. The most important learning requirements of art education are the art & core benchmarks. Assessments which include; journaling, presentation, peer reviews, discussions, cooperative activity, writing, essay, illustration and questions and answers. 

Vincent also known as Vincent Fine/Mr. V is concerned about people of all ages helping them to understand about the necessity to be proactive to help keep our earth alive and to shape the world we live in today and for generations to come. The mission is all about planting new trees which is a resource for oxygen, shade, food and more.
